Updates, Dreams, Goals, and More.

Holy smokes, it has been such a long time since I have done anything in this particular section of the website. I wanted to write something really long and meaningful for this update, but I decided to break it up into different posts and spread them out. I’m using this update to discuss some of the current and ongoing projects at Attix Comics including updates, hopes, dreams, goals, and more.

It’s been about five years since I really pushed this shop into getting licensed and making it available to customers all across the country. Growing from comics into other areas such as graphic novels, manga, and Funko Pops. A little more than a year ago, Attix Comics was able to secure another distributor, which allowed the store to grow and provide customers with more game-related products. Board Games, tabletop, RPGs, TCGs, puzzles, and more have become available to the storefront as much as an online based retailer can. Sure, we are limited in what brands we can order without currently being a brick-and-mortar storefront, but looking ahead 5-10 years, the goal is to secure an actual store front. This would create a dedicated hub for Attix Comics, providing a safe space where consumers can shop, explore, play, communicate, depending on their needs. This extended growth will allow for the store to expand further into the TCG, tabletop, and RPG space, including adding more products from companies like Wizards of the Coast, Konami, Ravensburger, and others that are currently not available to online retailers. This is incredibly huge and will play a key component in the continued success and growth of the store. I find it very exciting to have this as something to provide and participate in when that time comes.

The games section of the website is now up and functioning, so now it’s time to figure out how to include several more products and product types. Having Funko pops and graded comic books has always been a staple of the store but those are just a small piece. As a collector of both action figures and trading cards, it will only be a matter of time before these will be included in the products offered by Attix Comics. Time has always been the BIGGEST issue when it comes to website updates but these additions will come. Action figures, sealed boxes of trading cards, and even graded trading cards will be available before sets and singles become available due to time constraints. Singles may not even be a thing and will need a bit more consideration since they will require a lot more time than is currently available. Overall, many figures are already in possession as well as some boxes of cards and graded cards, so this process will start, ideally, prior to the holiday season. This is the goal, and is very time-dependent, so keep checking back every few weeks for updates to the collectibles section.

New products and selections for the store are great but there is another portion of the site does not get updated enough. This section is the Bargain Box. The idea is to provide a much greater value for books, offering a significant 35% discount. Comics released from 2018-2020 have been added and 2021 is currently in progress. There are thousands of books that will make their way into the bargain bin. Managing this workload has been unique since new products do take priority, but I am working on different ways to update this section more frequently. It’s really a win if I can place between 50-150 books into this section a week but that will not always be the case. The goal is to increase the frequency of updates, and I expect to see a growth spurt in products as more time becomes available in the coming months.

I managed to write all this while being away from my own office, so it felt kind of nice to be able to accomplish something that I have been wanting to do for some time. Not always having access to the store does pose challenges, but I am finding unique ways to fulfill my duties while away from the store.
